Volunteer 'Peer Mentors' at Developing Health & Independence (DHI)

Looking for volunteers to be 'Peer Mentors' aged 18+ with lived experience of mental health, substance abuse, offending and/or homelessness to be part of a new initiative called Golden Key Peer Mentoring Service.

Will be required to work 1:1 with Golden Key clients (300 of the most complex individuals in Bristol), offering emotional and practical support throughout their time with us. Peer Mentors will receive ongoing training and regular 1:1 supervisions with their allocated Volunteer Coordinator, as well as group supervisions and social events.

The aim of this project is to facilitate the personal and professional development of our peer mentors, aiding recovery and increasing employability. On the other hand, this service aims to act as a learning experience, that will be researched, resulting in outcomes being converted into positive system change as a whole.

To find out more about the Peer Mentoring Service please contact Danielle Yeomans at DHI on 07824 643696
