  • Day 2
     June 28, 2021
     11:00 am - 5:00 pm

The benefit system changes all the time, as the law is amended, as new regulations are introduced, and as case law is created. How these changes are interpreted and implemented will affect the advice we give to claimants. Covid-19 has also affected benefit entitlement with many claimants struggling to deal with changing rules, income and circumstances.

This two half day webinar is aimed at helping advisers keep on top of those changes, and gives an opportunity to look at how they impact claimants and the advice we give, and to discuss tactics on how to manage the system as best as possible.

Due to Covid-19, this course will be delivered as an online webinar over two half days:

  • Participants will be sent a digital copy of the training notes in advance of the webinar.
  • Participants may find it useful to be able to refer to these notes during the webinar.
  • The webinar will be delivered via Zoom, an online meeting solution.
  • Participants will also benefit from a recording of the webinar, which will be available after the training has concluded.
  • Joining instructions will be sent to participants ahead of the webinar.

Course Content:

  • Covid-19 Update
  • ESA/PIP updates
  • UC updates – migration, current problem areas
  • Tax credit updates
  • Pensioners and mixed age couples
  • Miscellaneous court challenges
  • The day will be participatory with plenty of time for discussion.
